When people I thought I had positive relationships with start acting different towards me without explanation, I can’t help but be offended. I’m not used to that form of rejection, especially when my only goal with any human being is to be as respectful as possible and supportive/present as my time permits me…
The older I get the more my social and/or romantic circle shifts and it’s interesting to see what changes and what stays the same. I’m either shockingly disappointed or pleasantly surprised. Although the common denominators are few — i appreciate them for always being there.
I guess as people grow, they also OUTgrow. slowly but surely I’m learning to accept that instead of take it personal.

the title is self-explanatory.
emotionally this is all quite trying, but i’m embracing the free time as an opportunity to self-reflect and build my swag back up again… my life has been so stressful and hectic that i forgot what it was like to make and keep friends… my soul has been so invested in the happiness of another that i almost forgot what it was that pleases myself… i’m glad that after only 9 months i’ve built something so strong that even with time apart we’re okay. we trust each other enough to let each other re-explore the world we once called our own before we met and they became one…
and it doesn’t feel half bad to flirt again either :) no harm, no foul.
